Join PMI Be

Becoming part of the PMI Belgium Chapter, a large and active community of project and program management professionals in Belgium, is a four step process, of which step 1, 2 and 3 are mandatory while step 4 is optional.

In case you need any additional assistance on this process, feel free to contact our Director of Membership, using the dedicated e-mail address: membership@pmi-belgium.be

Step 1: Register on the pmi.org website (Mandatory)

As a first step, register on the pmi.org website. It is free and gives you more information as a “guest” when visiting pmi.org. Additionally, if you want to be a candidate for a volunteering opportunity (local or virtual) you need to be registered.

Step 2: Join PMI Global Community (Mandatory)

If you want to become a member of PMI Belgium, you need to be or become a member of the PMI worldwide organization. The PMI global community currently has more than 1.4 million professionals in over 208 countries (source: PMI 2018 Annual Report)
For more detail, see the membership pages on pmi.org

In most cases an ‘individual membership’ will be your choice. However, if you are still enrolled in a degree granting program, then you can go for the ‘student membership’.
Memberships are offered through the “marketplace” part of the pmi.org site.

Step 3 Join PMI BE (Mandatory)

On the application form or through the marketplace you can also choose to join a local chapter. There is a small additional fee to be paid (USD 40) to become registered as a member of the PMI Belgium chapter and receive all benefits that come with it.
If you already are a member of PMI but not joined the Belgium Chapter yet, you can do so through this link

Step 4 Optionals

  • Once you are registered on pmi.org, you will automatically be able to use your login credentials for the www.projectmanagement.com as well. This site is part of PMI and contains a lot of information (webinars, templates, communities, etc).
  •  If you want to be a volunteer you can update your volunteering profile on the vrms.pmi.org website and get an overview of all volunteering opportunities.

Remark

The username and password you created for PMI.org can also be used on the pmi-belgium.be website. Please allow 24 hours for synchronization between the two platforms.
