Join PMI Belgium

Joining PMI connects you to a global community of project professionals and a strong local network in Belgium. The process is simple and fully online.

Update

Since February 2026, PMI has introduced the Unified PMI Membership Model. Your home chapter is assigned automatically based on your primary address.

Step 1: Create a free PMI.org account

Start by registering on pmi.org. Registration is free and gives you access to more content as a guest. If you plan to volunteer locally or virtually, this account is required.

Step 2: Become a PMI member

Next, join the global PMI community via the PMI membership page. Choose the membership type that fits your situation:

  • PMI Professional Membership for most professionals.
  • Student Membership if you are currently enrolled in a degree granting program.

Step 3: Check whether the PMI Belgium Chapter is automatically added

Under the Unified PMI Membership Model, your home chapter is typically assigned automatically based on your primary address. Please verify that the PMI Belgium Chapter is included in your membership.

If it is not included, contact the PMI Helpdesk to have it corrected. Make sure your primary address is set to Belgium in your PMI personal information.

Step 4: Add more chapters (optional)

You can add chapters in addition to the PMI Belgium Chapter. Chapter fees vary by chapter, and you can always add chapters later via your PMI account.

Step 5: Explore and get involved (optional but recommended)

Once your membership is active, you can:

  • Use your PMI credentials to sign in to ProjectManagement.com for webinars, templates, and communities.
  • Visit volunteer.pmi.org to update your volunteering profile and browse opportunities.
  • Explore the PMI Belgium website at pmi-belgium.be to discover events, mentoring, Communities of Practice, and more.

Account and Access

The username and password you create on pmi.org can also be used on the pmi-belgium.be website. Please allow up to 72 hours for synchronization between the platforms after you join, renew, or update your personal information.
