Unified PMI Membership Model

PMI is evolving and introducing a new membership model designed to strengthen the connection between our global network and local chapters.

At the heart of this change is a commitment to deliver more value and connection for every PMI member by combining PMI membership and chapter membership into one unified experience.

This evolution will allow more members to join local chapter communities, creating richer opportunities for collaboration, learning, and networking.

What This Means for PMI Belgium Members

Automatic inclusion

Current PMI Global-only members who live in Belgium will automatically become members of the PMI Belgium Chapter.

Residence-based affiliation in 2026

For the first year, members living in Belgium, even if part of another chapter, will be affiliated with PMI Belgium. Members living abroad will transition to their local chapter.

Future flexibility from 2027

From 2027, PMI plans to allow members to choose any chapter regardless of residence. Updates will follow as this develops.

No fee increases

Membership fees remain unchanged. Members will pay the same amount next year as this year.

How to Make Sure You Do Not Miss Out on Your Benefits

To be included in the PMI Belgium Chapter under the new model, your primary address in your PMI account must be set to Belgium. You may use your work address as your primary address.

How to Update Your Address

  1. Go to PMI.org and log in.
  2. Click on your name in the top right corner and select Account.
  3. In the Personal information tab, scroll to Addresses.
  4. Verify that your primary address is in Belgium.
  5. If not, add or change your primary address to a Belgian one.
