Title:

Humanize the Digital – Sustainable Stories from Uruguay
Speaker:  Anna Hakobyan

 About the presentation:

There is no operation that takes place these days where the public is not part of your company, part of the environment, part of the outcomes that are generated. If you fail to realize that you’re going to fail right away. Pyxis, is a Uruguayan technology company which was born out of a desire to create a place where people enjoy their work, use their passion and contribute to the community. Started by 3 entrepreneurs, today it employs over 400 people and represents one of the most innovative ecosystems in South America. We focus on culture and wellbeing of our people more than on profits. So, we put our people first. Bu The presentation will focus on few specific highlights:
- How to make sustainability part of your daily operations and what insights you can draw from it.
- How Pyxis worked during Covid with government, National TV and a school of psychologists to develop a
chatbot helping citizens across the country, who were locked in their apartments.
- Pyxis for Human. Every few years we re-invent ourselves. In 2021 we are rolling Pyxis for Humans. How
do we connect humans and technology to achieve the lasting effect.

Bio Speaker:

Anna connects the dots… People, industries, projects, opportunities. Her experience spans from the USA to
Canada, Russia, Latin America and Europe. Over the past 15 years she worked with United Nations, International
Organizations such as IATA, large-scale technology companies such as SAP and non-profits. Different industries,
cultures taught her how to navigate complex environments and build teams that last.
Originally from Armenia, Anna strongly believes that passion leads to success and that breaking rules, not
principles will lead to opportunities. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business and Master’s in Public
Administration as well as a PMP certification.
Anna is heading North American and European business development for Pyxis, Uruguayan technology company,
that helps companies stay relevant in the rapidly changing world of digitalization. Pyxis’s success is built by putting
their people before their profits.

About PM Fair 2021:

For more than 20 years, PMI Belgium has held an annual congress, the ‘PM Fair’, where prominent speakers of national and international reputation are invited to share their experiences and recent developments and future trends in the field of project management. This popular event is attended by over 200 PMI members, sponsoring organizations and other enthusiasts of the project management profession.

Building on last year’s successful extension of the event to become the international Benelux PM Fair, we are pleased to announce the 2021 PM Fair with the participation of the chapters of Luxembourg, The Netherlands and Belgium. Going virtual enables us to extend the existing wonderful relationship among the different chapters and to expand our potential audience to over 2000 members. Last year’s event taught us that this was a successful cooperation which we want to maintain and improve. The circumstances did change in comparison with last year and that’s why we will approach this year’s event two-sided:

  • Firstly, we plan central live online sessions for 4 days ( Monday through Thursday ).
  • Secondly, We would like to invite our Belgian members to a live event on Friday the 08th October. The sessions in our main room will also be live streamed online (you can register for them) and on top of that we will have some interesting break out sessions for our people present in the venue (these sessions won't be live streamed or recorded) of course there will be lots of time to finally network again with friends and colleague project managers. Drinks, lunch and an evening reception are included (with respect to the covid measures in place at the time of the event). This year we welcome you in the Africa Museum located in Tervuren (easy access by public transportation and by car)

The congress will be spread over an entire week, from Monday the 4th of October to Friday the 8th of October. We intend to organize two online sessions per day, the first one at lunchtime and the second one at early evening. This way we can maximise the possibility for our members to participate at the online sessions. We will close the congress on Friday the 8th of October with an in-person closing session.
