Sustainable pace in projects - are they only buzz-words, is it achievable in real life, or just a dream?
Speaker: | Annette Godsk Vendelbo
About the presentation: For quite a few years sustainability and social responsibility have been high on the agenda in many organizations. However, the speed with which things change and the blurred boundaries between work and private time often result in stress, which is almost the opposite of these popular agendas. One way of reducing stress is to allow employees to work at sustainable pace. This is absolutely fundamental in agile systems, such as Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe. So "agile" should be the perfect match in terms of sustainability, but why doesn't it work that way in real life? Why is it so difficult to translate sustainability into concrete action? Annette will share her insights and experiences from her work with numerous teams and organizations and offer her answers to above questions. |

About PM Fair 2021: For more than 20 years, PMI Belgium has held an annual congress, the ‘PM Fair’, where prominent speakers of national and international reputation are invited to share their experiences and recent developments and future trends in the field of project management. This popular event is attended by over 200 PMI members, sponsoring organizations and other enthusiasts of the project management profession. Building on last year’s successful extension of the event to become the international Benelux PM Fair, we are pleased to announce the 2021 PM Fair with the participation of the chapters of Luxembourg, The Netherlands and Belgium. Going virtual enables us to extend the existing wonderful relationship among the different chapters and to expand our potential audience to over 2000 members. Last year’s event taught us that this was a successful cooperation which we want to maintain and improve. The circumstances did change in comparison with last year and that’s why we will approach this year’s event two-sided:
The congress will be spread over an entire week, from Monday the 4th of October to Friday the 8th of October. We intend to organize two online sessions per day, the first one at lunchtime and the second one at early evening. This way we can maximise the possibility for our members to participate at the online sessions. We will close the congress on Friday the 8th of October with an in-person closing session. |
