 About the presentation: 

There is barely an industry sector which will be left out by the Revolution 4.0. Project Management does not make an exception.
I will analyze its disruption by Blockchain. I will explore how the reduced cost of verification may facilitate settlement and reconciliation processes, and how oracles may solve the last mile problem. I will investigate how the different types of contracts may be automated, how the incentives in the new ecosystem can be tokenized and how they can bootstrap the new digital network. The target is to analyze PM’s future role and skillset.
I hope the COVID-19 pandemic will not lead to a ‘technologic winter’ by investment cutting but will provide a new context and will unfold the full Blockchain and technological myriad potential.

Bio Speaker:

Proven project management professional with 15 years’ experience in IT and Telco industries. Experienced in complex cross-functional and cross-company projects and programs at national and international level. Reviewer of the latest version of PMI® Foundational Standards (PMBOK® v.7, PMBOK® v.6, Standard for Program Management® v.4 and Organisational Project Management Maturity Model® v.4).

The content of this presentation was developed during the author’s participation in the MIT online program ‘Blockchain Technologies: Business Innovation and Application’ in the period March – May 2020.

About PM Fair 2020, the digital fair:

Firstly, for reasons that should be obvious to all, this year’s event will be virtual and not physical: we are going online. No physical face-to-face sessions are envisaged. Instead, the congress will be made up of a series of webinars, online workshops and master classes.

Whilst presenting numerous challenges, this also provides plenty of opportunities.

The congress will be spread over an entire week, from Monday the 28th of September, through to, and including, Saturday the 3rd of October. The intention is to offer morning ‘coffee time’ sessions, along with lunch time opportunities, and additional sessions in the early or late evening, thereby maximising the possibility for our members to participate, either in live webinars, or by accessing recorded sessions.

In addition, ‘going virtual’ enables us to extend our existing wonderful relationship with our friends and neighbours, and present PM Fair 2020 in conjunction with from PMI Netherlands and PMI Luxembourg.
