Title:

Building Organisational Resilience
Speaker:  Michele Longpre
Track: Human

 About the presentation:

"Organizational Resilience is the ability of an organization to anticipate, prepare for, respond and adapt to incremental change and sudden disruptions in order to survive and prosper. Organizational resilience is an essential strategy for an organization to flourish in today’s dynamic world and can be achieved throughout time, set up for the long-term. Organizational resilience is a continues cultural learning process. An organization will not be ready to properly reply to a major incident if the organization did not learn how to deal with the minor incidents happening daily.
What profiles of organisations were prepared to face the unknown, what were the criteria that allowed these organisations and its personnel to manage the required transition, how did they build the required resilience to live through such crisis, mitigate their risk and seek opportunities to envisage a future in a still volatile future?
We will present a model to build resilience, present some practical examples and some key criteria to build-in this capability within the organisation and provide a psychological safety for the employees and their families.
Resilience is not the survival of the strongest but survival of the fittest, Large or small!"

About PM Fair 2020, the digital fair:

Firstly, for reasons that should be obvious to all, this year’s event will be virtual and not physical: we are going online. No physical face-to-face sessions are envisaged. Instead, the congress will be made up of a series of webinars, online workshops and master classes.

Whilst presenting numerous challenges, this also provides plenty of opportunities.

The congress will be spread over an entire week, from Monday the 28th of September, through to, and including, Saturday the 3rd of October. The intention is to offer morning ‘coffee time’ sessions, along with lunch time opportunities, and additional sessions in the early or late evening, thereby maximising the possibility for our members to participate, either in live webinars, or by accessing recorded sessions.

In addition, ‘going virtual’ enables us to extend our existing wonderful relationship with our friends and neighbours, and present PM Fair 2020 in conjunction with from PMI Netherlands and PMI Luxembourg.
