Here are my five top podcasts that I got a lot of enjoyment from.
I challenge Gert Bogaerts to give their top 3 to 5 podcasts.
- Ted Radio Hour:
Quite a nice format – several TED speakers linked together on a common theme. If you like the sound of any of them, you can go back and listen to their whole talk
Example episode with Monica Lewinski
- This one was quite something, what she went through, and what she has done – inspirational:

- TED Interviews
Head of TED Chris Anderson speaks with some of the world’s most interesting people to dig into the provocative and powerful ideas of our time.
- How I built this
This dives into the stories behind some of the world's best known companies. How I Built This weaves a narrative journey about innovators, entrepreneurs and idealists—and the movements they built. The have awesome stories about how entrepreneurs – real people behind big companies – got started.
My favourite episodes
- Air BNB The real story http://tiny.cc/AirBnB-pod
- Instagram The people that started Instagram: http://tiny.cc/instagram3
- Ben & Jerry Nice guys : http://tiny.cc/BnGpod
If you like these – there are loads more – and they usually finish off with a section on How You Built This – people like you or I following their ideas / passions that could one day be the next Air BNB or Instagram
- Hidden Brain
My current ‘go to’ favourite is another one from NPR: Hidden Brain. All episodes are good, they are entertaining and thought provoking.
- AudioBook: Vaporized: Solid Strategies for Success in a Dematerialized World
And lastly an audiobook or book. This book started me on my DNA journey… fascinating / frightening read. To be honest, now I cannot remember what came first, the book or the podcasts – I get information from such a variety of sources, it all melds into one, especially for someone my age.
