Dear members
Two years ago, during the New Year’s Assemble in Leuven I saw you for the last time in person.
I expressed some ideas I had for my presidency for the coming two years, but strange things happened since then.
Starting from March that year, we had to do everything online. It was something we have never done before, but I am proud to say that all of our events were possible thanks to the help of my board who made them all virtual.
We learned a lot being forced to change our way of work.
In October of 2020 we launched the idea of a virtual PMFair and ambitious as we were, we went for an entire week. The PMFair board did a great job making sure everything went smooth, it was a struggle for the agenda, always being on time for each presentation and making the technology work. I really must thank Brian and Gert for all their work.
I reopened an older partnership and we made it happen together with Luxembourg and the Netherlands a BeNeLux PMFair. This year we repeated the exercise and had more than 1000 registrations for our virtual events.
I hope to meet you in person in January 2022 to say goodbye with a good beer in Leuven.
I wish Christine, who takes over, a lot of success and really hope that she can organize “real” events.
See you around the corner,
All the best
Jacques
