Hi all
It’s a new dawn, it’s a new day. The first Monday after PM Fair 2021 – and no PM Fair webinars, no planning and organization meetings scheduled, no questions or issues from participants and speakers - ‘just’ work.
The virtual events last week were a huge success, with nearly 1000 registrations for the online sessions. Excellent speakers covered a range of subjects, with PMI Global telling us about our role in Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability, an information session on PMI Educational Foundation, a workshop helping us to address diversity and inclusion, and an entrepreneur telling his story about sustainable fashion and the circular economy – and much, much more as well.
We did not manage to hold the physical event as planned, so that we could all meet each other. Instead, we hosted an online session to meet ‘The Invisible President’, Jacques, who, unfortunately for such a social President, did not have the opportunity for a single ‘in person’ event during his tenure. But that was fun and a great way to round off the week. PMI LU did host a drinks reception that was well attended and very much enjoyed.
Which leaves us with the million-dollar question – what shape will the PM Fair take in 2022? Will we be back to physical? Or is online here to stay ? Or maybe a combination ? Your input here is critical, to make sure we meet the needs of our members, we need to know what they want. Let us know, provide us feedback, reach out to the board members, drop us a line.
Either way, PM Fair 2022 will not be my responsibility. Time for a break, time to ‘just’ work for a bit.
Shortly you should have a new ‘Director of PM Fair’ – the deadline is soon, make sure you cast your vote !
I wish the very best of luck to them, and I hope to see them and you next year at PM Fair 2022 – if not before
Stay safe,
Brian
