Dear Members, Colleagues, Friends
“Slowly our lives will be getting back to “normal”. The past (and current) pandemic outbreak is a big disruption on a global scale, and we have had to deal with it whether we like it or not.”
Believe it or not, that was the introduction to our newsletter exactly this time last year. Still as relevant today as they were a year ago. Frightening! Little did we know back then how long things would take to get back to “normal” and I continue to wonder, do we really know how long it will take, and will it be the same as before.
But today, symbolically, I received my letter, the date is set, it feels like another step closer to the new normal.
We have adapted, we have been flexible and resilient, and your board and the volunteers continue to work tirelessly ‘for the people’ – developing our project management community, and the managers and leaders of the future.
In this edition of the newsletter, you can read more about planned events, the PMI Communauté Francophone (PMICF), a webinar, podcast, and a ‘save the date’ for the PM Fair (October 4th-8th) brought to you again in conjunction with our colleagues from the neighboring chapters of Luxembourg and the Netherlands.
We really hope we can bring you a live face-to-face event this year, but we have learnt many things – we are preparing for a hybrid event, part online, part physical – “plan for the best, prepare for the worst” because no one quite knows when we will all be ready. Either way, it is already shaping up to be another great event.
Until we meet again, in the flesh, or virtually, stay safe, we are nearly there, …
Cheers
Brian
