I hope you are all doing well and that you are not too affected by the pandemic. It is indeed difficult not to talk about it these days!
As you know, PMI Belgian Chapters’ moto is to provide value “to the members by the members”. This means that all the actions from the Chapter are oriented towards its members.
Our business model is based on three main pillars: membership, sponsors and activities organized by the PMI Belgian Chapter.
Regarding our activities, we have switched to remote online activities using digital channels. Recent examples are the presentation done by Colruyt and the PM Fair which have been organized in a completely new format: for the first time we had an online event spread over a full week. We hope you could participate to these activities and that you have enjoyed them.
We plan to organize other online events.
Our objective is to continue organizing regular activities to the benefit of our members and to keep them engaged in our community. This is really important for the Board of the PMI Belgian Chapter.
It is also important to be able to continue to benefit from the support of our sponsors. They are involved in our digital events as well and we appreciate their commitment to the Chapter.
Last but not least, we rely on our volunteers who have invested their time in the preparation of these events in a new format, and we wish to thank them for the outstanding results achieved.
We are confident that we can continue relying on your membership, as well as on the continuous support of our sponsors and on the dedication of our volunteers. We take this opportunity to thank you all for your confidence in the PMI Belgian Chapter and we are looking forward to meeting you again soon.
As communicated earlier this month by our president, it is time to submit your candidature for the open positions in the board. It gives you a great opportunity to enhance your leadership skills in different areas by learning through doing. To apply, please submit your application and necessary information to the nominating committee by sending your CV and a motivation letter via email to: Past.firstname.lastname@example.org the 28th of October 2020.
Wow! Benelux PMI Fair it’s over! A huge thank you to our speakers and volunteers for making it happen. Quite a challenge, going digital, and also including all three BeNeLux chapters for the first time in a while. But we made it. And we hope it was a great experience for all of the members that took part. Nearly 150 people registered to attend more than 1250 different sessions, with the majority coming from Belgium. And 15 ‘Lucky Draw’ winners from the Belgium chapter, who will have their chapter fees paid at the next renewal.
It was great to be involved in the PM Event, and it was even better to do all this volunteer work from home. As this was the first kind of virtual event that we did, we all had to learn new skills, and I think that is how we get paid 😊 I only did a fraction of the work that was performed by Brian Thumwood and Gert Bogaerts, but I still managed to do the following three things for the first time.
