Let me start by saying that I hope you are doing OK and staying COVID-19 free. As we hear from the news, some families are affected more than others and not being able to visit loved ones is not easy especially for your children and grandparents.
We are now used to working from home and we can only appreciate that the internet is here to support us. My current project is the implementation of a ServiceNow platform which would have been impossible if we did not have the ability to work from home.
Our daily stand-up meetings are sitting down and take a bit longer than normal but this also OK as we need a bit of extra time to help with communication. Forget social distancing, it should be called physical distancing and we should decrease our social distancing as it is more important that ever. To help me with this, I call two people a week to have a chat and a coffee, so let me know if you have some free time for a coffee.
Now that the children are back to school, we may have the impression that things are getting back to normal but we don't know how everything will evolve.
However, our most important event (PM Fair) is still going to happen this year. Brian Thumwood and his team have put together a week of events which you can review here. This year's theme is... Black Swans and Unknown Unknowns. Opportunity? Or threat? See the PM Fair article for more information.
We have had many, many exciting applications from wonderful speakers to take part in this year’s event. Being virtual, with no limit on rooms and no cost constraints, we have the opportunity to include more sessions than normal.
