In this introduction, a quick word about the last chapter event which has been a great success. Also you'll see that members have been very active to volunteer for setting up satellites events next week. Do not hesitate to join the Volunteering day on the 23rd if you want to contribute. We are very proud to see that the chapter is your community animated by the members for the members.
The Chapter event of April was a very dynamic and interactive event. The participants had to answer lots of questions and move around. In the end, they worked together in teams to do some brainstorming and share best practices. The theme of the event was diversity and everyone present at the event agreed that diversity and inclusion are extremely important to the success of any business. PMI also strongly believes and diversity and so does PMI Belgium Chapter. We are truly diverse in every aspect – age, gender, educational and professional backgrounds, experience as well as ethnical backgrounds, and we are very proud of our Diversity.
We are thankful to ISF Waterloo for hosting the event and to Katherina Swings for her presentation.
Gaining cost management efficiency by interfacing EPPM and ERP in a growing project-focused biopharmaceutical company (that is operating through an outsourced model.)
For a project management professional working in a project-focused biopharmaceutical company to develop innovative medicines that improve patient’s lives is not only very rewarding and exiting, but it also brings an interesting project management challenge.
Development of innovative medicines in a fast growing company demands clear operating structure and operating systems. Standardization is difficult but is required. Being confronted with a growing portfolio and with continuously changing schedules brings an interesting challenge towards project cost management when operating through an outsourced model.
Joining this chapter event allows you to learn how such challenge is addressed by integration of an Enterprise Project and Portfolio Management (EPPM) system and an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and as such gaining efficiency in project cost management between the project management organization and the finance organization.

What is the position of Belgium when looking to the Project Management Salaries?
Projects change the world, and project management professionals are the change agents. This is one profession where life is never dull…and where demand for skilled practitioners is high. Projects are proliferating globally, and it’s projected that, over the next decade, organizations of all sizes and types will need nearly 88 million people working in project management roles.
