Stijn Boussemaere made his professional life out of his passion for S.T.E.M.
After his studies in Applied Informatics and Computer Science, he created his master thesis in a comparative study on threat modelling. This way forward, the interest for cyber security has awaken.

The fourth industrial evolution - an era of continuous automating production and industrial practices with the aid of modern smart technology - has taken power over us.
This era presents us with huge opportunities as well as new uncovered risks.
In 2019 SAPA Lichtervelde, a Norsk Hydro company, was hit by cyberattack and had to pause his production lines. The media reported that due to this attack employee safety was at stake.’ In 2020, Picanol had to shut down their production line worldwide and Hondas assembly lines experienced severe outages due to a cyber intrusion.
In his story from the trenches, and with these examples in his pocket; Stijn will demonstrate how to pragmatically and project wise approach the improvement of the security levels within a company.
