We, the PMI Board, have spent quite some time deliberating if and how to move forward with the PM Fair this year – whether to try and continue with the normal face-to-face gathering of 220+ people at a carefully selected venue, or to go virtual and hold an online event.
I suspect we are all missing face-to-face meetings and would dearly like to believe that everything will be ‘normal’ by October.
But unfortunately, there is too much uncertainty (second spike, vaccine availability, government advice, …) and risk (health, budgets…) for us to proceed with the event in the traditional format
However, we have all agreed that ‘the show must go on’, so we will proceed with the PM Fair online, on a virtual basis, which will make us face many challenges, but also many opportunities.
Currently, we are planning that the event will last the whole week, with ‘live’ sessions available most days, possibly including weekends, at different times of the day, but also available for download and review after the event, so that all material will be available to the entire PMI Belgium membership.
The team is currently busy working on the planning for the new style event, which will take place the same time of year as usual, around September 28th to October 3rd.
More details will be shared as they are confirmed, but in the meantime, save the date!
