Project management with purpose. That’s what drives us — and this summer, we’re walking the talk.

PMI Belgium is proud to join six other European PMI Chapters in supporting THE GREAT WALK, a cross-border initiative led by Homeless Entrepreneur — an organisation committed to breaking the cycle of homelessness through work, visibility, and social reintegration.

From Linz to Madrid, across 5 countries and covering 880 kilometers, Andrew and Toby, two formerly homeless individuals, are walking to raise awareness, change perceptions, and inspire action.

But this isn’t about walking.
It’s about what we stand for.

Our role

As project professionals, we bring structure to complexity — and this time, we’re applying those skills beyond the boardroom. Together with our fellow chapters from Switzerland, Netherlands, Spain (Madrid and Barcelona), Poland, and Romania, we’re offering support where it matters:

• Amplifying the message across our channels
• Sharing the story with our members and partners
• Providing communication and strategic expertise
• Showing up with purpose

THE GREAT WALK reflects what PMI stands for: using skills for impact, and leadership for the greater good.

How you can support

This initiative thrives on community engagement — and that includes you.
If this mission resonates with you, there are several ways to join the movement:

• Follow the journey via Homeless Entrepreneur's website and their social media
• Engage with and reshare their updates on LinkedIn and Instagram to amplify the message
• Tag your network — especially media, partners, or sponsors who might help increase visibility
• Walk alongside Andrew and Toby during a leg of the route as they pass through your region
• Donate or volunteer to directly support the campaign and its impact
• Reach out if you’d like to contribute your time or skills to this or similar purpose-driven initiatives
