Volunteer in the Spotlight: Tarun Vasudev

Volunteer Spotlight

Meet Tarun Vasudev – Supporting the PMI Belgium Events Team

I am delighted to introduce myself to the PMI Belgium community, as I have been appointed to support the Chapter's Events team during the transition of the Director of Events role.

Project management has been at the heart of my professional journey for more than 25 years.

Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to lead business transformation, technology, sustainability and digital innovation initiatives across Europe, Asia and the Middle East, working with organizations across the automotive, energy, financial services and public sectors. Along the way, I have come to appreciate that successful projects are built not only through sound methodologies, but also through collaboration, continuous learning and strong professional communities.

These values are what attracted me to PMI, and why I am excited to contribute more actively to the PMI Belgium Chapter.

As I begin this journey with the Events team, I look forward to listening, learning from the chapter's experienced volunteers and supporting their ongoing efforts, while gradually contributing my own experience wherever it can add value.

One of the things I value most about PMI is that it is much more than a professional association - it is a community where project professionals learn from one another, exchange ideas, build lasting relationships and grow together. Whether you are an experienced project leader, someone working towards your next certification or new to the profession, I encourage you to make the most of everything our chapter has to offer.

Our chapter thrives because of the passion and dedication of its volunteers. If you have ever considered becoming more involved, I encourage you to take that step. Whether it is helping organize an event, sharing your expertise as a speaker, mentoring fellow professionals or contributing behind the scenes, every volunteer plays an important role in making our community stronger.

I would also like to encourage you to explore our exciting programme of upcoming events. In particular, PM Fair 2026 this October will bring together project professionals, thought leaders and industry experts for a day of learning, networking and inspiration. Whether you are a long-standing PMI member or attending for the first time, it promises to be an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas, discover new perspectives and expand your professional network.

Project management continues to evolve rapidly as organizations embrace artificial intelligence, digital transformation, sustainability and new ways of working. I believe PMI Belgium is uniquely positioned to help professionals navigate these changes by creating opportunities to learn from one another, share experiences across industries and continue developing the skills that will shape the future of our profession.

If you see me at one of our upcoming events, please come and say hello. I always enjoy meeting fellow project professionals, listening to different perspectives and learning from the experiences of others. I look forward to getting to know many of you over the coming months and contributing, together with our wonderful volunteers, to the continued success of PMI Belgium.

I hope to meet you soon at one of our upcoming events.
