Strengthening Project Management Education in French-speaking Belgian Region

PMI Belgium

Since the beginning of this year, PMI Belgium has created a dedicated Academic & Educational Outreach function focused on the French-speaking part of the country. The objective is to build strong relationships with schools, high schools, universities, and FOREM, promoting best practices in project management.

PMI offers a wide range of academic resources and tools—some free, others member-exclusive. These include:

  • PMI Kickoff – a free, user-friendly guide to help anyone start a project;
  • PMI Infinity – an AI-powered assistant for project professionals;
  • Global portals that offer Project Management leading edge material and connect students and professionals worldwide.

In many countries, the PMI Global Accreditation Center (GAC) accredits project management and related programs at the bachelor, postgraduate, and doctorate levels. This accreditation ensures that programs meet global standards of quality, relevance, and student focus.

Still, nothing replaces human connection. Our Academic & Educational Outreach volunteers are actively engaging with professors who lead project management programs to offer:

  • Guest lectures based on the PMBOK Guide,
  • Practical insights gained through decades of hands-on experience.

Another key initiative this year is to re-establish collaboration with FOREM to enhance project management education within its training programs.
