PRIORITIZING WHILE TRANSFORMING

PMI Belgium

HALF-DAY POWER SESSION

Often project deliverables are prioritized at the start, when everything makes logical sense and nothing unexpected has happened. Once the transformation journey has begun, external factors force new decisions and course corrections, and project teams struggle with making the right choices. Prioritization of backlogs by project team or stakeholder voting, or sub-optimization to fit the current quarter’s hot topic start taking place. The team is at constant risk of losing focus over the big picture.

B_Prioritize_Photo.jpgIn this course, participants learn to establish clear business value metrics which the transformation will influence, and to track them through simple and effective measurement systems. Participants also learn to implement an objective, transparent and effective prioritization methodology. This is a tremendous help to avoid stakeholder dissatisfaction by establishing a clear roadmap, balancing short-term value with long term transformation, and provides a mechanism that can be used over & over again during the transformation to stay on course and avoid myopic decision making.

This half day power session is complementary to, and creates bridges between Change Management, Program Management and Value Realization.
