PMI’s New Membership Model: What It Means for You
PMI is evolving, and with this evolution comes a new membership model built to strengthen the connection between our global network and local chapters.

By moving to a unified membership model, where PMI® membership and chapter membership are seamlessly combined, we are strengthening the connection between local expertise and global resources.
As a result, more members will join local chapter communities, creating richer opportunities for collaboration, learning, and networking.

What This Means for PMI Belgium Members
Automatic inclusion
Current PMI Global-only members residing in Belgium will automatically become members of the PMI Belgium Chapter.
Residence-based affiliation in 2026
For the first year of the new model, members living in Belgium (even if currently part of another chapter) will be affiliated with PMI Belgium. Meanwhile, PMI Belgium members residing abroad will transition to their local chapter.
Future flexibility from 2027
PMI plans to give members the freedom to join any chapter, regardless of where they live. We will keep you informed as this develops.
No fee increases
Membership fees remain unchanged. Current PMI Global and PMI Belgium members will pay the same amount next year as this year.
