PMI Benelux Summit - PM Fair, Antwerp 11 October 2024 (By Laura Roversi)

You have all heard and read about the PMI Benelux Summit 2024, which our chapter in Eindhoven kicked off on September 27th. Many chapter members attended the event, which was very appreciated and centered on the theme "Synergies in Project Management: Navigating Trends across Industries."

The second event, organized by the PMI Belgium Chapter, was titled "The A.R.T. in Project Management" (A=awareness R=rules T=transformation) and focused on the “soft skills” of project management.

Here are some highlights of the day:

• Keynote: Mastering the court: applying disciplined agile to basketball success, by Lorenzo Vetrano
  • Telling the story of how Lorenzo, as basketball coach of a young team, applied DA tools to achieve success
• Stakeholders: Dealing plan fully with both the rational and non-rational side of stakeholders, by Jan van der Vurst
  • These very interesting concepts, among which are that what is not rational can still be predicted
• Laughter & Breathing - Tools for stress reduction and team connection, by Anja Vandenbergh
  • How laughter yoga techniques can improve your team’s well-being and yours, boosting productivity
• Personal Mastery - Stress and Resilience Management, by Diepak Kasi
  • Understanding stress and building strategies to cultivate resilience.

The PM Fair was a delightful and informative event; well done to the PMI Belgium Chapter!
