Insights and inspiration for project professionals

On Monday 26 January 2026, we welcomed members, volunteers, and partners to our annual New Year’s Reception at the Holiday Inn Brussels Airport. The evening marked a cherished moment to reconnect as a community, reflect on the year behind us, and look ahead to what lies ahead.

The reception brought together project management professionals from a wide range of backgrounds and experience levels. From long-standing members to those new to the chapter, the atmosphere reflected a growing, engaged, and increasingly diverse community.

After a warm welcome, the 2026–2027 Board shared key reflections on 2025 and outlined priorities for the year ahead. Highlights included the chapter’s continued growth, solid financial foundations, and a clear ambition to deliver even more value through events, initiatives, and opportunities for member and volunteer engagement.

 

 

Several participants highlighted how encouraging it was to see how far the chapter has evolved in recent years. For many, the evening reinforced a sense of belonging to a professional community that not only values structure and results, but also culture, collaboration, and human connection.

Following the presentations, the evening naturally transitioned into the much-anticipated “jingle & mingle” walking dinner. Conversations flowed easily, new connections were made, and familiar faces reconnected in a relaxed winter setting. Attendees repeatedly described the atmosphere as open, welcoming, and energising, particularly for those discovering the PMI Belgium community for the first time.

 

 

The New Year’s Reception once again demonstrated what makes PMI Belgium special: a strong volunteer spirit, a shared commitment to professional excellence, and a genuine willingness to support one another’s growth. It also set a positive tone for 2026, with many participants expressing their enthusiasm to get more involved and contribute to the chapter’s future.

We would like to thank all members, volunteers, and board colleagues who joined us and helped make the evening a success. We look forward to building on this momentum and continuing the journey together throughout the year.
