PMIEF Belgium offered a Light PM Framework workshop to Toastmasters and Toolbox Belgium on 16 February.
Workshop objective
Give people a practical introduction to project management during a one-day practical PM workshop and give them confidence to do this themselves and continue to learn.
Workshop structure
- Start with an overview a light PM process
- Introduce project scenario
- Step 1: Appoint the sponsor and discuss
- Step 2: Prepare the Project Summary (light project charter)
- Step 4: Setup simple project environment

- Step 6.1: Use the WBS technique to breakdown the project (use Post-its)
- Step 6.2: Document the requirements for each deliverable
- Step 6.4: Prepare the business case

Workshop Expectations
- Practical understanding on a complete project life-cycle
- Get familiar with a number of PM techniques
- Have the confident and knowledge to run a simple project when they back to the office
