30 days to the PM Fair….ooh, did I register?

We are almost there! Friday 11th October it is the PM Fair at the venue Bluepoint in Berchem.

You might have already marked the day in your agenda. Very good, yeah. Have you already registered for the PM Fair? Have you already reserved your spot? Do you have any doubts about attending the PM Fair?

Well, let’s look at the content of the PM Fair. This year the theme is about the A.R.T in project management. Although we are professionals in this area, there might be topics that we still need to acquire, to acknowledge, deep dive more into some other topics.

The idea of having the PM Fair theme about A.R.T. in project management came up during my journey of breathwork. In this journey we handle the A.R.T in breathing, where the A stands for Awareness, R for Regulation and T for Transformation.

This is exactly what I wanted to do with this year’s PM Fair theme.

awareness.jpgAwareness: creating awareness in different topics of project management not only for the most experienced project managers amongst us, but also for the beginner. The person who starts his/her journey in project management. It can be due to sudden career switch, or being integrated by the experienced project manager in how well the project is managed, or by the diversity of the different knowledge areas you encounter when managing a project.

rules.jpgRegulation was transformed into rules. Do you know how to create a disciplined environment, a well-defined structure to manage the project. How do you know that the project plan is realistic so that all the work is covered. What about resource management? How do we ensure that we have the right resource at the right time with the required skills? What about reporting? Rules can provide answers to all those questions. Rules can provide confidence in getting things done at the right time. Rules can trigger you to think again.

transformation.jpgWhen awareness and rules are formed, you are ready to transform. Transformation is the shift that happens. You have acquired the knowledge and the techniques to a deeper level so that you become the dirigent of the project. You transform with your team the entire project. Transformation is about impact, is about trust in yourself, is about exploring your skills and talents to level up your project team, your project stakeholders.

Basketball.jpgThe workshop of our 2 keynote speakers: Lorenzo Vetrano and Hans Vandenberghe embrace these 3 pillars very well. Each of them in their own area. From applying a DA toolkit to enhance a basketball team to broaden their perspective on agile methodologies and explore innovative ways to apply them beyond the traditional workspace to deep diving into self-awareness and conscious leadership to reframe your role as a project manager to a visionary leader within your projects, fostering a culture of engagement, creativity, and sustained success.

The major question is how we satisfy beginners in project management and the more experienced ones. Together with our speakers we brainstormed and developed 3 levels for the different workshops: Pioneer, an easy workshop for beginners, for being aware of the topic by AH, this is interesting. Master, for those who want just that little more than beginners. Master for deep dive into a specific topic. Innovator, the highest state of experience, knowledge.  The 3 different levels visible on the program PM Fair: www.pmfair.org/programs

All our speakers have identified in which category and level their specific workshop is set up.

18 speakers are getting together on Friday 11th October to inspire you in the A.R.T. in project management. To trigger your artistic skills for managing future projects, future project teams.

With all this awareness, rules and transformation it is important to take care of yourself. Deadlines to achieve, which rules to apply, how do I facilitate a workshop to engage the stakeholders of the project. All those can trigger stress. And there at the PM Fair we have a special theme Self-care.

Gina de Groote, Diepak Kasi and I will enlighten you on how to take care of yourself, how to reward yourself and your team with a compliment. How to become aware of your stress level and apply techniques to become more resilient? Learn that laughter and breathing are 2 tools that can reward yourself and your team and reduce the stress level.

waytogo.jpgWe want you to have a great day, surrounded by other peers in project management. The PM Fair day is your day. It is all about you and your peers. To make this PM Fair unforgettable the PM Fair team has come with 3 interaction games: Sponsor Bingo Card – Full House Team Quest – Speaker’s station. 3 games where you can interact with sponsors and speakers but also with the other participants of the PM Fair.

So, are you convinced that the PM Fair is important for you. Then, register now.
The registration is still open until 07 October.

I hope to meet and greet you at the entrance of the PM Fair and to wish you an unforgettable PM Fair Day!

With smiling greetings,
