PMI is actively promoting the use of Generative AI in project management. One great example is PMI Infinity — a powerful tool developed by PMI and available free of charge to all PMI members.
The platform also offers excellent training materials to help you understand how to use these tools and methodologies effectively.

I’d like to share how I used Infinity on a recent project at a small financial institution in Belgium. With limited project staff, I had to juggle many roles: scheduling, admin, meeting minutes — and also serve as the subject matter expert for payments infrastructure. That’s where the AI support became invaluable.

After each project meeting, I would upload either a transcript or my rough notes. The AI instantly summarized the discussion, highlighted key decisions, and even suggested action items. Thanks to this, I could send out clear, concise meeting summaries to the team within an hour.

For documentation, the AI helped draft project charters, risk registers, and communication plans. I provided a few bullet points, and it produced a solid first draft. With minimal editing, I could keep project documentation up to date without spending hours writing from scratch.

Even more technical tasks like risk management and requirements gathering were streamlined thanks to Infinity’s project-specific knowledge base. It draws from global best practices, helping you make informed decisions more quickly.
