Empowering Job Seekers: PMI Belgium & VDAB Project Management Workshops
PMI Belgium and VDAB (Vlaamse Dienst voor Arbeidsbemiddeling en Beroepsopleiding) have been working together to provide workshops on project management.
Before March 2020 these workshops were hosted onsite at locations of the VDAB. The course material was developed by enthusiastic and passionate project managers during their “free” time.
The project covered during the workshop is the preparation of a big event for the inhabitants of Happy Town to celebrate 100 years of their village. The main sponsor is the mayor of Happy Town, who wants to be re-elected.
The workshops try to help the attendees in finding a new job in the field of project management.
The workshops have been delivered remotely from January 2021. Since then, PMI Belgium has provided certificates of attendance to 274 students.
The overall satisfaction of the attendees is 4,5 out of 5. The attendees appreciate the professionalism of the workshop facilitators.
The workshop is delivered during 3 sessions in the evening, each lasting 3 hours.
We are still looking for volunteers to join the team of enthusiastic and passionate project managers to deliver the workshops.
