Chapter Event May: Change Management in Schools
Jacques Neyns, Educational Liaison Officer of the Project Management Institute of Belgium, thinks of this event as "The long and winding road to a fully digital learning environment - the challenges faced, the processes adopted, and the lessons learned from ISF Waterloo’s transformation of our educational media and learning platforms."
This presentation will show you step by step the change process we introduced this schoolyear in the International School of Flanders at Waterloo. The focus will be on the human aspect and the struggle they have with new technology and new ways to work. Like Leo Tolstoy said ‘Everyone thinks about changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself’. It will be a real life change project overview, no theory; the teachers will show and explain themselves how they witnessed the ‘evolution’.
The entire change project was very close supported by PMI Belgium, with advice and good risk management. Not all risks were foreseen, you will hear about them!
The event takes place in the school buildings, this gives you the opportunity to see the new technology and even test it out yourself.
A special event, for the first time PMI presents in a school, worthwhile attending.
